I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the School of Computing at Queen’s University in Canada and early member of the Autonomous Robotics Research Group.
My early research investigated the use of reinforcement learning to improve the performance of model predictive control in ground and aerial vehicle applications. My current work focuses primarily on learning and control in multi-agent robotics applications.

student supervision
I am currently supervising graduate students at the Master’s and PhD levels and am open to discussing new opportunities. If you are interested, feel free to send me an email and we can set up time to chat.
domain name
The domain name myapunov is a reference to Lyapunov stability, a fundamental concept in control systems theory. It is named after the Russian mathematician Aleksandr Lyapunov, who made significant contributions to the field. A system is said to be stable in the Lyapunov sense if we can construct a representative energy-based function that continually decreases over time. If this Lyapunov function always decreases, the system naturally returns to an equilibrium and thus can be considered stable.
The term myapunov (my + Lyapunov) reflects personal ownership over my ideas and a desire to ground and self-correct them - a metaphor for seeking balance and resilience within complexity.
